    Romans 5:6-9

For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.

For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

We can see the love of God and Christ in these verses 🥹.

"Christians" believe they must be good, godly, upright people in order to have a relationship with God. But it's so very clear in verse 6 that Christ died for the ungodly.

He didn't come for those who think they are godly or do well. He came for dirty, evil, ungodly sinners like you and I.

Good people think they can do what Jesus does. But Jesus tells us in verse 7 that people won't even give their lives for a good person let alone an evil one. He's highlighting that nobody can do what he can do.

He laid down his life for even his enemies.

Jesus didn't die for us when we were saved and living good. He died when we didn't even truly know him. That is the love of God manifested. Dying for a person whom he doesn't even know.

God is telling us so plainly and with such conviction in verse 8. WE ARE JUSTIFIED!

We are saved by his blood! Hallelujah!
