^{1 John 5:4-5}

⁴ For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.

⁵ Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?

Often times we think we must overcome the temptations of the flesh. Satan deceives us into thinking we must work hard and prevail over our struggles.

This is a lie from the pit of hell. When we believed the gospel, we became born again. Being born again means that we are now reconciled with God. We can proudly profess and proclaim that we are the righteous children of God.

We have already won! We have already overcame! We have already conquered! Not by our own works or actions but by the blood that Jesus shed for us. 

All we need to do is believe this by faith. Verse 5 tells us that there is no other way to overcome this world and all of it's temptations unless it's by the blood of Jesus. 
No amount of repentance, prayer, living well, or doing good can overcome the evilness in the world. Only the blood of Jesus saves us! Amen and Hallelujah!!

We are more than conquerors through Jesus! We do not need to overcome because Jesus already overcame! Please change the way we speak. We do not struggle, we prevail!
