Luke 19:27
27 But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me.
There's a common misconception that the enemies of God are people who do evil. Those who aren't obedient or follow the commandments are enemies. Those who try not to do evil are God's children.
But this is the deception of Satan.
God clearly highlights who is an enemy to God. He says, "my enemies, that do not want me to rule over them".
An enemy of God is one who doesn't want the Almighty Father to have rule over them. The ones who do not want God to dictate their lives, secure their futures, pick their spouses, and live under his grace.
I pray that everyone can truly refelct on these words and see that God isn't trying to "control" our lives. He's trying to free us from the control of Satan. He wants to give us liberation and true freedom by providing all things.
Sadly many people, at the core of their hearts, think they can maintain their lives better than God. We are truly nothing without God, and submission is not bondage but freedom. Amen!
