18 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.


Everyone wants to advance in life whether it be financially, physically, emotionally, academically etc. 
The most important journey in a Christian's life is the spiritual one.

Praying, fasting, tithing, and going to church is important but God highlights what he truly wants us to do. The first thing he wants us to do is grow in grace. 
Why? Because grace is the most important thing to God. It is the very thing that gave us eternal life. We have all fallen short but God has given us grace through Jesus Christ.

This grace reconciled us back to God through sending his only begotten son. Jesus brought the good news of grace to us on earth. 

This leads into the second thing that God wants for us, growing in the knowledge of Jesus. Sure, it's nice to know about repentance, prayer, tithing, fallen angels, and demons.

But what God wants for us is to grow deeper and closer to Jesus. He needs to be the main focus in our lives. We should strive to know more about Jesus, what he preached, how he dealth with others, and what he did for us. 
Staying Gospel centered means to be Jesus centered. I hope we can all focus on Jesus rather than ourselves or gaining worldly knowledge. Amen!
