Proverbs 14:12 (KJV)

"There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death."

Often, we think we know what is best for us, but relying solely on our judgment can lead to devastating consequences. Human wisdom is limited and flawed. We see only a small part of the bigger picture and often make decisions based on incomplete information. Our hearts lead us astray when we rely solely on our understanding.

In contrast, God’s wisdom is perfect and infinite. He knows the end from the beginning and understands the best path for our lives.

Sadly we cannot feel or understand this. It seems right to always be cautious and vigilant. But the end result is misery, sadness, and even death. There are times when we are convinced that our way is the right way. We make plans, set goals, and take actions based on our understanding and desires. However, when our plans do not align with God’s will, they often lead to frustration, disappointment, and misery. The path in our hearts will always seem right to us, but it always ends in difficulty.

We need to seek God’s guidance in every decision and we should always think about his heart. 

I hope we can all come to this conclusion inside of our hearts. As right as we are, we can be 100% wrong in the eyes of God. Being 100% wrong in front of God is 100% the right thing to do. His ways....not ours. Amen!
