Hi All!

Wanted to share a sneak peek of the bible study from Exodus 26 this coming Saturday @ 12PM PST.

We know that numbers represent things in the bible because Hebrew is alphanumeric but did you guys know that colors also represent things?!?

Exodus 26:1 (KJV)

1 Moreover thou shalt make the tabernacle with ten curtains of fine twined linen, and blue, and purple, and scarlet: with cherubims of cunning work shalt thou make them.

We see here the colors of the tabernacle curtains. They are white (linen), blue, purple, and scarlet. 
Ever wonder why God chose these colors? 

Here's a brief explanation:
The Hebrew word for linen, shesh (שֵׁשׁ), denotes something white and shining, symbolizing the righteousness of Christ. 

The Hebrew word tekhelet (תְּכֵלֶת) is often associated with the sky or heaven, symbolizing God’s divine nature in the sky/heavens.

The Hebrew word argaman (אַרְגָּמָן) was used to denote wealth and royalty, pointing to Christ as the King of Kings.

The Hebrew word shani (שָׁנִי) or tolaath (תּוֹלָע) refers to the color obtained from a specific worm, symbolizing the blood of Christ shed for humanity.

These are all colors of the tabernacle. The holy tabernacle is a place where we can meet God, it is the dwelling place of God. So what does this all mean?!? When we add all things together, it goes like this.

Red represents blood, blue represents heaven, purple is the mixture of both blue and red. You mix scarlet (red) and blue (heaven) together and you get purple representing God coming down from heaven becoming man in the flesh with blood (Jesus).These things combined make us fine linen in the tabernacle. In other words, you need God (from heaven; blue) to become man (Jesus on earth; purple) and to die for our sins (with his blood;red) to make everything clean and pure linen (white).
