• Overcoming Rejection with God’s Acceptance (Daily Devotional 10/14)

    Isaiah 51:7 (KJV)
7 Hearken unto me, ye that know righteousness, the people in whose heart is my law; fear ye not the reproach of men, neither be ye afraid of their revilings.

In today’s world, it’s not uncommon to feel rejection, especially in the age of social media, where public opinion can shift quickly, and false accusations can spread like wildfire. God’s acceptance is what truly matters.

Isaiah 51:7 is a powerful reminder that those who know the righteousness of God which is the gospel do not need to fear anything. The world may reject you, but God’s love and acceptance remain constant. He sees the heart, He knows the truth, and He stands by those who belong to Him, even when the world stands against them.

Rejection is one of the deepest wounds we can experience, especially when it feels like the world or our loved ones have turned against us unjustly. But God reminds us that we should not fear the opinions of others. Jesus Himself experienced the ultimate rejection, being falsely accused, mocked, and crucified. Yet through all of it, He remained steadfast in His mission because He knew the truth. His identity and confirmation came from his Father, the almighty God.

God sees beyond the noise of public opinion and the lies that people may spread. Your worth, your salvation, your identity are secure in God’s love, and no human judgment can change that.

The world may reject you but God defends you.

When you face rejection or public shame, it’s important to remember that your identity is not defined by what people say about you. Your identity is rooted in Jesus Christ, and that is unshakable. Jesus was the ultimate example of someone who faced rejection but never lost sight of His true purpose. God alone is the judge, and He has declared you righteous through the blood of Jesus. No accusation, no public humiliation, no rejection can change that.

People’s opinions change, but God’s love and approval are eternal. Jesus was rejected so that you could be accepted.

Accusations are false and hurtful but God promises to be with us. He is our Defender, our Advocate, and our Shelter. Just as Jesus endured shame and rejection, so will we face similar trials. But we can stand firm knowing that God is with us even when everyone abandons us.

God's opinion is the only one that matters, and in His eyes, he is already justified and declared righteous.

I hope we can all remember that our worth isn’t tied to what people think. It's tied to what God says. Amen!
